East Yorkshire office equipment company extends partnership with the Gemtec Arena
A pioneering East Yorkshire company has reinforced its commitment to investing in local sport and the community.
Digital office solutions supplier Gemtec, which is based in Priory Tec Park, Hessle, has today announced an extension of its high profile sponsorship of the Gemtec Arena for a further three years.
Gemtec has been the official sponsor of The Arena – which is situated in West Park, within the grounds of the KC Stadium – for two years and it hosts everything from wrestling events to national trampolining competitions.
Eric Shackleton, sales director at Gemtec, is delighted to be extending the sponsorship of the venue, which has a seating capacity for 1,500 and also acts as a training centre and meeting point for many of the region’s young sports groups.
“The Gemtec Arena plays an important part of community life in the region,” said Mr Shackleton. “We are proud to be the official sponsors of the venue and have enjoyed a phenomenal level of recognition for this over the past two years.
“We are pleased to announce that we are extending our sponsorship by a further three years and we look forward to a strong partnership with the arena long into the future.”
Andrew Tate, the arena’s manager, said: “We are delighted that the directors at Gemtec have agreed to continue their support of the arena. Both the arena and the football club are extremely fortunate to count on the support of an elite band of commercial partners in which Gemtec is included.
“The Gemtec Arena plays an integral part in complementing the stadium's superb facilities and the support shown from Gemtec allows us to continue to develop and improve the activities and the services we offer to the community.”
Gemtec is well known as a sponsor of sporting organisations at all levels – both professional and grass roots. In 2005, the company was the official shirt sponsor of Hull FC when they won the Rugby League Challenge Cup, more recently their name appears on the Hull City AFC shirt and the company has agreed to sponsor 21 teams in the North Ferriby football league, with groups ranging from under-9s to under-18s.
