Gemtec strikes new shirt sponsorship deal with Hull City

East Riding digital office solutions suppliers Gemtec have entered into a back of shirt sponsorship deal with Hull City AFC, which will see the company logo appear on the back of both the home and away strips in the 2006/07 season.

The deal is an extension of the strong working relationship between Gemtec and Hull City AFC – as the firm has previously donated seven top-of-the-range photocopiers to the club to improve efficiency and productivity.

Gemtec are firm supporters of local sporting talent, having recently provided sponsorship to the Gemtec Arena and U15 football squad the Gemtec Spartans – currently top of the Wyke League, as well as West Yorkshire U10 rugby league side the Normanton Knights.

Gemtec’s sales director Eric Shackleton hopes the new deal will strengthen the relationship between his company and the club.

Mr Shackleton said: “We are delighted to announce our sponsorship with Hull City for the 2006/07 season and we’re looking forward to spotting our logos on the backs of players such as Stuart Green, Boaz Myhill and Andy Dawson.

“We’re all huge sports fans here at Gemtec and we are keen to nurture grass roots talent as well as provide support for established clubs. To be associated with Hull City – who have enjoyed tremendous success over the last few years – is a great honour.”

Club chairman Adam Pearson is pleased to see the club’s relationship cemented by this new deal.

Mr Pearson said: “Gemtec have been great supporters of the club over the years and to have this new deal is great news. We are pleased to be associated with such a dynamic, forward-thinking company who are such staunch supporters of local sport.

"Our club sponsor and main sponsor continues to be Bonus Electrical for the 2006/07 season, however we are delighted to add the name of Gemtec to our shirts for the 2006/07 season and hopefully beyond.”
